During the pandemic lockdown, a video concept was in discussion for a report on the future of work after COVID-19. It was to be shot in studio with green screen. I proposed that we juxtapose these isolated figure photos against a background of hand-drawn linear illustrations since there was no opportunity to shoot on location.  This ensured a consistent and original look and feel for the trilogy of reports, both still photos and video. The style was adopted for the two accompanying reports that followed. Feedback from across the company praised the highly innovative idea and many colleagues reached out to admire and replicate the style.

In a report that outlines in stark numbers exactly how the country’s racial disparities are impacting Black Americans, I collaborated with an in-house documentary filmmaker, choosing and preparing the photography for the printed report and other media assets.  We strove to showcase the humanity of the individuals profiled. I also worked with the research team to create the one-page infographic, and with the external relations team for the corresponding newspaper advertisement.
When faced with disparate needs and notions, and a confluence of client ideas around a topic, Patrick can be counted on to smooth the whole thing into a cohesive whole message, and then provide multiple options of the same.
